The OCS is an international standard whose main objectives are to increase organic farming production, provide industry with a tool to verify the content of organically grown products, provide companies with a reliable tool to communicate growth content claims to industry organic and allow organic fiber farmers broad access to the global market for their products.OCS certification therefore applies to all points in the supply chain, from processing, manufacturing, packaging and labelling to shipping. This is a certification applicable to products that contain at least 5% organic material, calculated as a percentage of the entire product, excluding accessories.
GRS it corresponds to an international standard, and its purpose is to increase the use of recycled materials. The GRS also includes criteria for social and environmental processing requirements. This standard’s main objectives are to verify the recycled content in products, reduce the harmful impact of production on both society and the environment and provide guarantees that products are processed in a more sustainable way.
RCS it is used for recycled material requirements. The main difference between GRS and RCS is that while RCS only certifies that products with this seal contain a minimum of 5% recycled material, GRS certifies from 20% recycled material and also places special attention on social and environmental. GRS can complement the more textile-centric RCS label.
It corresponds to a consistent international certification system for raw materials, intermediate and final products in the textile sector, at all stages of processing. It is a guarantee of products free of substances harmful to human health, which is why it is so used in the Textile and Clothing Industry (ITV). The OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certification provides for four product classes in which not only finished products can be certified, but also their components, in any state of transformation (fibers, threads, fabrics) and accessories. Adalberto follows class I, which is the most rigorous class of all, involving more specific and demanding tests.
BCI this standard relates to the use of sustainably sourced cotton in product development. Its aim is global cotton production that is better for producers, the environment and the future of the sector. It establishes principles associated with minimizing the harmful impact of cotton agricultural production, preserving fiber quality, promoting fair labour relations, efficient use of water, conserving soil and natural habitats.
Higg Index - FSLM + FEM it corresponds to a communication tool for environmental and social performance.FEM is used to assess the environmental impact of manufacturing products at the facility, from water use, waste management, chemical and energy use, to identify strengths and discover areas for improvement.On the other hand, FSLM corresponds to an SLCP tool, the process aims to fill in social data common in social audits, which then generates a report and action plan to be shared with clients. Thus, it measures the company’s social impact in areas such as wages, working hours, health and safety and treatment of employees
